Hidden Leaf Baja
Join Hidden Leaf Baja and Chef and Death Doula, Teri Portugal, for the inaugural Life Death Dinner. Inspired by the rich traditions of Día de los Muertos—a celebration of life and death honored by Mexicans for generations—this event will take place on October 29th and November 5th at 6:00 p.m. We invite you to share a meal lovingly prepared by Chef Teri while engaging in open and often healing dialogue as we invoke the presence of our deceased loved ones.
Life Death Dinner beautifully intertwines Teri’s culinary expertise with her role as a Death Doula. This event offers a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations about life and death while enjoying a delicious meal, creating a space for reflection and connection.
Please Note
“We invite our guests to contribute to our ‘ofrenda’ by bringing a special offering, such as the traditional marigold or other flowers, a cherished photograph, a joyful note, or another meaningful offering dedicated to a loved one who has passed.”
Through this Community Table event, we continue this celebration of life, creating a safe space to explore end-of-life topics, foster greater awareness, and accept death as a natural, shared experience.
